Daytona Beach Attractions
From auto racing to classical music enthusiasts, Daytona Beach has something for everyone. Listed here are some of our facilities and activities you can participate in as you adopt the Daytona Beach lifestyle:

Public Marinas: 16, including Halifax Harbor Marina, the largest facility between Miami and Charleston, South Carolina.

Motorsports: Daytona Beach hosts a variety of automobile and motorcycle racing events each year. February Speedweeks culminates with the annual running of the Daytona 500. Daytona Beach is the home of NASCAR and the DAYTONA USA interactive motorsports attraction, open year-round. NASCAR's premiere super speedway, Daytona International Speedway also serves as an automotive performance testing ground.

Bike Week & Biketoberfest: another Daytona Beach tradition that attracts more than 500,000 motorcycle fans every year during the first 10 days of March and mid October.

Ocean Center: a 225,000-square-foot convention center that seats 8,400 for stage presentations and up to 10,000 for sporting events. Plans are under way to expand the facility, including enhanced event capability and seating. For more information, please see the Ocean Center Web site.

 

Golf: LPGA International serves as home to the LPGA National Headquarters and championship golf facilities. Showcasing the CBS nationally televised LPGA Titleholders Championship, the richest stop on me LPGA Tour. The second championship golf course, designed by premier architect Arthur Hills, is now open.

Museums: Daytona Beach is home of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, featuring multi-cultural exhibitions in art, science and history. About 10 miles south is the historic Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse, one of the tallest lighthouses in the United States open to the public. The Southeast Museum of Photography is one of the largest museums dedicated solely to photographic art in the world. Klassix Auto Museum and Dealership buys and sells collector vehicles
of all types - antique, classic, muscle and show cars can all be found there.

Peabody Auditorium: with 2,500 seats, this facility serves as a cultural center that attracts world-class performers. It also is the summer home of the London Symphony Orchestra.

Historic Downtown Daytona: located on the banks of the Halifax River, a $3 million streetscape added the finishing tough to the revitalization of downtown Daytona Beach as a unique shopping and dining experience.

Day Trips: Daytona Beach is within easy driving distance of Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, St. Augustine and a wide variety of other attractions, state and national parks.
